Advanced Cryptocurrency Investigations

Cryptocurrency crimes continue to evolve as more and more criminals utilize bitcoin and altcoins to carry out their illicit activities. These crimes range from trafficking activities on the dark web to fraudulent activity and scams on regulated cryptocurrency exchanges. There has also been a tremendous uptick in criminals using NFT’s and staking platforms to launder proceeds of criminal activity.

Advanced Narcotic Operations

Covert operations are extremely unpredictable and have the potential to turn deadly in a split second. Many covert operations proactively target the worst criminals operating in communities by using undercover law enforcement officers or confidential informants. Unfortunately, the UC or CI often becomes the victim of a robbery, kidnapping, or other violent act. Initially, the UC or CI must aggressively fight or utilize stall tactics to save their life.

Advanced Undercover Techniques for the Narcotics Officer

This “practical scenario” training has been designed to complement and expand the one week Basic Undercover Techniques for the Narcotics Officer course. Each student will receive an unique exposure and practical application to real undercover situations in a safe and evaluated environment. The goal is to provide training to officer in an effort to make sure every undercover officer gets home to their loved ones each and every night.

Basic Undercover Techniques for the Narcotics Officer

This course has been designed to complement the experienced undercover officer as well as bring a "new" undercover up to a level of awareness, safety and knowledge that is required of those seasoned undercovers. The course covers effective recruitment and utilization of informants, identifying safety considerations and unique problems associated with undercover work, addressing the psychological challenges of undercover work, identifying difficult undercover situations and demonstrating methods to resolve them (drugs, alcohol, sex, and other crimes), understanding prosecutorial guidelines, regulations and entrapment issues, discussing risk management of undercover operations, examine key issues in the supervision of undercover units and personnel, demonstrating techniques for infiltration of transnational criminal organizations, identifying and demonstrating briefing and debriefing technique and professional documentation/courtroom preparation and testimony.  Maybe most important is how criminals identify Undercover Officers as Law Enforcement.

Cellebrite

The Cellebrite Certified Mobile Examiners Course is designed for the intermediate and advanced investigator / digital forensic examiner. This 5-day course combines the curriculum from the Cellebrite Certified Operator (CCO) and the Cellebrite Certified Physical Analyst (CCPA) Courses providing the participant with an intense exposure to Cellebrite UFED, Physical Analyzer Software and all of the core competencies associated with the examination of mobile devices using Cellebrite’s Tools and methodology.

Courtroom Testimony

This course is designed to improve your skills in testimony, increase your awareness of the court system processes, and help you understand your role in describing the elements of the crime to a judge and jury in a reasonable light. The initial investigation, arrest, or traffic citation is only the beginning stage of a long legal process. The instructors in this class will discuss details involved in the phases of courtroom testimony such as pre-trial exams, civil lawsuit depositions, suppression hearings, expert testimony, and trial court testimony. 

Current Fentanyl Threat

The current Fentanyl threat is being magnified by the use and abuse of Fentanyl. Fentanyl is quickly becoming one of the most dangerous and challenging drug-related threats to communities and law enforcement officers across the United States. This training course will focus on breaking down Fentanyl as well as the latest trends in packaging and distribution. An emphasis will be placed on how to prevent accidental exposure and possible overdose.

Detecting Misleading Behaviors

This course will provide law enforcement officers and military to detect misleading or deceptive behaviors in drug traffickers, and criminal suspects, whether in an interview or interrogation situation or a drug negotiation situation.

Drug Identification

This presentation will focus on current trends in drug identification.  It will offer an in-depth look into the various types of drugs that are available on the street and over the counter and the new methods of use and trafficking.  It will examine how these drugs affect the body and how to recognize the use and abuse of these substances.  It will examine how these drugs are manufactured, processed, distributed, and marketed in society. 

This presentation will systematically look at all of the new trends that are occurring nationwide in the world of illicit drugs.  The PowerPoint program contains information slides, photographs, and short videos to allow participants to view the new substances that are currently being used across the United States.
