Welcome to NCTC
The Northeast Counterdrug Training Center provides training in prevention and counterdrug activities to law enforcement agencies and community-based organizations in the Northeastern United States working to reduce the availability of illicit drugs, improve public safety, and diminish drug use in our society.
Founded in 1999 in accordance with the provisions outlined in the 1999 Defense Appropriations Act, the Northeast Counterdrug Training Center (NCTC) is operated by the Pennsylvania National Guard, with a campus at Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania. The facility is capable of housing and training law enforcement and drug demand reduction professionals at no cost to their parent agencies. The sites provide a modern and professional environment for training, conferences, and planning sessions, which are essential to the counterdrug community.
NCTC is staffed by National Guard Soldiers and Airmen who provide infrastructure management. Classes are taught by subject matter experts with extensive education, training, and experience with proven success in their areas of expertise. This military and civilian partnership is the cornerstone of the NCTC success story.
Based on guidance from the Pennsylvania Governor’s Office and Pennsylvania Counterdrug Joint Task Force for preventing the spread of COVID-19, the Northeast Counterdrug Training Center will continue to assess the situation as it develops to determine safe training circumstances. Our staff will work with supported agencies to schedule training case-by-case. The health and welfare of our students, staff, instructors, and partners is our top priority.
