Bulletproof Mind

BULLETPROOF MIND is a presentation in which Lt. Col. Grossman presents a model for action that ensures professionals can train for and overcome the unique mental stressors of possible violence. Find out what to expect when your heart rate rises and blood drains from your face, and how to avoid it.

Domestic Terrorism

Participants in this course learn about domestic terrorist groups and how to recognize indicators relating to domestic terrorism. There has been a tremendous increase in narco-terrorism activities involving Transnational Criminal Organizations. These relationships will be explained, and investigative techniques will be discussed to assist in dismantling these organizations operating in communities across the United States. Students will explore law enforcement's roles and responsibilities in combating domestic terrorism.

Financial Planning

This course is a comprehensive guide to designing and funding law enforcement and community-based programs for beginners. The course provides hands-on instruction for the writing requirements of all typical sections of a federal or state grants aimed at law enforcement or non-profit entities. The course also provides instruction on where to find funding sources in both the public and private sectors.

Middle Eastern Intelligence

This interactive adult-learning experience will familiarize attendees with the history of the Middle East and the culture of regional peoples with special focus in Islam as a religion and as a way of life. According to Pew Research Center, Muslims are projected to be the fastest-growing major religious group in coming decades. Acknowledging a general lack of awareness among security professionals; information and knowledge will enable law enforcement to develop strategies that bridge the gap between misunderstanding and beneficial engagement with the Middle East community.

Money Laundering

The targeted focus of this course is to establish an understanding of how financial information and processes are directly related to money laundering. This class will then demonstrate how laundering factors into criminal enterprise, transnational crime organizations, drug cartels, region instability, armed conflict, terrorist organizations, insurgencies, destabilized countries, compromised democratic governments, and situational upheaval.

Naloxone Administration for Potential Bystanders

Naloxone can be a lifesaving drug when administered in a timely manner to a person who is overdosing on opioids. Naloxone Administration for Potential Bystanders is a course designed to prepare any individual in the event they encounter an opioid overdose situation that requires immediate action. Students will be instructed on how to recognize an overdose, administering naloxone, performing rescue breathing, and what to do after the person has been revived. 

Open Source Intelligence

This course is designed for criminal intelligence analysts, special agents, and other investigators. Students with any level of familiarity with the Internet and computers, from beginning to advanced, will find this course beneficial. Student will learn what information is available on various sites and how to integrate that information into criminal investigations and criminal intelligence analysis.

Opioid Awareness Seminar

The sudden rise in opioid and prescription narcotic deaths, both nationally and throughout the Commonwealth, has presented a unique challenge to local communities. The Opioid Awareness Seminar focuses on national, statewide and local trends relating to heroin, prescription opioids, and other opioid compounds. Overdose awareness, recognizing a potential addiction and community prevention/treatment programs will also be discussed providing a realization of how the opioid epidemic can affect the school environment and the community.

Opioid Threat in the Community, designed for educators, community organizers, and healthcare personnel, focuses on national, statewide and local trends relating to heroin, prescription opioids, and other opioid compounds.

Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs

This course presents an historical perspective of early motorcycle clubs and their evolvement into today’s traditional outlaw motorcycle gangs (OMG). The historical perspective will continue with a discussion of each of the major groups. In addition, the students will be exposed to the current status of a large portion of clubs who operate in the northeast as well as a nationwide perspective.
