Interview and Interrogation for Law Enforcement (Advanced)
This course will build upon the training and experience of the students who have attended the Basic Interview and Interrogation course and/or have prior training and experience with interview and interrogation and need to increase their knowledge, skills and abilities. This course will review and confirm the knowledge and skills of basic interview and interrogation and provide additional tactics. Middle East Focus
This 2-day course will familiarize attendees with the history of the Middle East and the culture of regional peoples with special focus on Islam as a religion and as a pattern for living. The program will enable law enforcement to develop strategies that bridge the gap between misunderstanding and beneficial engagement with the Muslim community and individuals of Middle Eastern descent from all religions.
Tactics for Narcotic Warrants
A common goal of most narcotic investigations is to execute search warrants to recover illicit drugs and contraband discovered during the investigation. Unfortunately, narcotic-related search warrants are one of the most dangerous types of planned operations conducted by law enforcement agencies across the United States. A narcotic entry team must receive proper and continual training to help minimize the risks associated with the operation.
Technology Threats and Trends Against Law Enforcement
Technology saturates our everyday lives. Yet, so many technologies are being developed with the specific purpose of targeting police officers or hiding criminal activity. This is a unique and eye-opening class for law enforcement personnel who want to learn more on how technologies are being used (or misused) to commit crimes, avoid or detect investigations, and to conduct counter surveillance. However, not only will this class examine and demonstrate how individuals are misusing these technologies, it will also reveal simple, inexpensive ways to mitigate their success as well as provide some investigative tips.
Video Surveillance Techniques
This course is designed on the premise that participants have little or no experience with video. Students will be exposed to state-of-the-art video surveillance systems and will be offered the opportunity to use them in realistic “hands-on” scenarios.
