Domestic Terrorism
Participants in this course learn about domestic terrorist groups and how to recognize indicators relating to domestic terrorism. There has been a tremendous increase in narco-terrorism activities involving Transnational Criminal Organizations. These relationships will be explained, and investigative techniques will be discussed to assist in dismantling these organizations operating in communities across the United States. Students will explore law enforcement's roles and responsibilities in combating domestic terrorism.
Interview and Interrogation for Law Enforcement (Advanced)
This course will build upon the training and experience of the students who have attended the Basic Interview and Interrogation course and/or have prior training and experience with interview and interrogation and need to increase their knowledge, skills and abilities. This course will review and confirm the knowledge and skills of basic interview and interrogation and provide additional tactics. Students will be immersed in practical role play interviews to receive experiential training and skills.
Open Source Intelligence
This course is designed for criminal intelligence analysts, special agents, and other investigators. Students with any level of familiarity with the Internet and computers, from beginning to advanced, will find this course beneficial. Student will learn what information is available on various sites and how to integrate that information into criminal investigations and criminal intelligence analysis.
Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs and the Criminal Connection
This two-day course prepares the attendee for those criminal investigations, by immersing the attendee in the current OMG subculture. By understanding OMG history, criminality, and indicia, this training is structured to enhance the attendee’s OMG training, knowledge and experience, preparing them to successfully investigate “OMGs and Their Criminal Connection”.
Physical Surveillance
This five-day course is designed for law enforcement officers involved in the tracking and monitoring of suspects through urban, suburban, or rural conditions for the purpose of documenting activities and potentially interdicting upon these actions. The "hands-on" scenario based training course immerses the attendees into surveillance scenarios simulating street crime situations such as drug dealing, burglaries, robberies, and other crimes.
Social Networking
This course covers the essentials patrol officers, investigators, probation officers, School Resource Officers and anyone in the criminal justice system needs to know about social networking. Various types of crime are rooted in social networking activity. Drugs, scams, identity theft, flash mobs, sexting, sextortion, cyber bullying, even school shootings can be attributed to social media. This course will break down the elements of social networking, examine what information is collected and demonstrate what a great investigative/intelligence tool it can be.
