Code Enforcement Counselors Undercover Military SF and MP only First Responders Attorneys

Role of the Undercover

This course trains new and experienced undercover officers to conduct safe and efficient undercover narcotic operations and understand the roles and responsibilities of other team members. The course stresses how to conduct every undercover operation safely and efficiently. In addition to classroom instruction, the course includes many practical exercises.

Tactics for Narcotic Warrants

A common goal of most narcotic investigations is to execute search warrants to recover illicit drugs and contraband discovered during the investigation. Unfortunately, narcotic-related search warrants are one of the most dangerous types of planned operations conducted by law enforcement agencies across the United States. A narcotic entry team must receive proper and continual training to help minimize the risks associated with the operation.

Top Gun: Undercover Drug Investigations

Top Gun employs a mix of mediums to enhance learning. The course is built around a straight forward fact scenario. The student will hear lectures and mini-lectures from experts on both the legal principles and the practical aspects of the topics. Immediately following each lecture, students will participate in small group workshops, where they will have the opportunity to apply the fact scenario to the principles just learned.

Student selections are made by the sponsoring state agency, not NCTC.

Undercover Survival for Narcotic Officers

Undercover narcotic operations are a necessary tool to effectively target drug dealers operating in North America. Successful undercover operations allow law enforcement officers to covertly gather evidence of a crime or interrupt the planning of criminal activities before the suspects have an opportunity to commit the crime.

Video Surveillance Techniques

This course is designed on the premise that participants have little or no experience with video. Students will be exposed to state-of-the-art video surveillance systems and will be offered the opportunity to use them in realistic “hands-on” scenarios.
