Methamphetamine Clandestine Lab Safety
Course Description:
Law enforcement is confronted with illegal drug manufacturing processes which expose officers to the violence associated with drug organizations but also chemical hazards from these processes. OSHA requires employers to training officers working in these environments to the Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response (HAZWOPER). This class meets the OSHA training requirement and teaches officers to operate safely in the hazardous environment while dismantling a lab. This course uses classroom lecture along with practical exercises to teach the skills necessary to operate safely in the drug lab.

Who May Attend: Current Sworn Law Enforcement (Local, State, Federal).
o Must have completed a certified basic law enforcement academy
o Accredited with full investigative and arresting authority
