Drafting Narcotic Search Warrants
Course Description:
This training webinar will teach officers the fundamentals of drafting proper narcotic-related search warrants and informant-based warrants. Participants will learn how the use of narcotic-related evidentiary search warrants will enhance their investigations through identifying additional criminal offenses committed by suspects that may have not yet been reported.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
- Properly structure affidavits
- Establish probable cause
- Conduct informant-based search warrants
- Conduct narcotic-related evidentiary search warrants
- Obtain digital evidence search warrants
- Identify resources specific to their state or region
- Understand how to properly label search warrants to increase efficiency
